classic pub decor, cozy atmosphere, proximity to battlefield
Bathroom desperately needs updating!!! Room number 2 proximity to bar leads to unbearable noise until after midnight!!! Consider warning guests about loud music and street noise!!!

Cozy rustic vibes!
We spent a night in a super cute double room that was just lovely! The decor felt classic pub-like, and it was spotless. After the pub closed, it got really quiet, so I slept like a baby. The location is perfect, right on the main street. The only thing was that the bar area could've been a bit bigger.

The location on the high street offered a charming atmosphere, making it perfect for our planned events. The friendly staff added to a welcoming experience, and our upgraded family room was spacious and impeccably clean. The dining options, especially the steaks, were delightful. the noise from the high street was somewhat bothersome, and the limited parking options created a bit of inconvenience during our stay. With these considerations, it was a pleasant experience overall.

Absolutely loved my upgrade to a huge family room! Super comfy beds and spotless everywhere—you'd hardly know there was a high street outside. Very cozy pub vibe, just what I needed!
Had a slight trip hazard in the bathroom—might get added to my clumsiness bingo card! Clarifying that step would be grand.

Comfortable Stay with Room for Improvement
We enjoyed our stay in a spacious large double room. The restaurant offered remarkable local cuisine, making dinner one of the highlights. the bathroom could really use some updates, and the room's decor felt a bit worn. Consider visiting for the food, but manage expectations on room aesthetics.

It was just a fitting option for a stopover in Battle with great value for money. The room was decent and clean enough, which I appreciated after a long drive. Make sure to ask about potential noise if you're staying above the bar.
